What is Qurbani
The Prophet Mohammad was once asked: “What is Qurbani (or Udhiyah)?”
The Prophet replied: “It is the tradition of your father Ibrahim. For every hair of the Qurbani (sacrifice) you receive a reward from God (Allah).”

According to Islamic tradition, the practice of sacrifice can be traced back to the Prophet Ibrahim who dreamt that God ordered him to sacrifice his son, Ismail.
